Lauren is a best-selling children’s author – her book “The White Giraffe” is much loved.
Many months after the site was finished, I read Lauren’s autobiographical account of life growing up on a farm in Zimbabwe – “Rainbow’s End”. It is utterly engaging, beautiful and deserves to be read.
Nancy Ellis did some lovely Flash animation in this site – a game reserve that (with a little bit of coding magic) responds to the time of day.

A zen-like calm descends on the user... what's nice is that as you roll over the menu items, the whole background changes to match the mood (see next slide)

A nice parallax animated game reserve - which even reflects the time of day. The sun goes across the sky, the stars and moon come out at nice. Just some lovely detail.
