Actually, that about sums it up.
The site was an experiment in putting a very rich navigation system together without ever cluttering the work. We used some nice touches such as thumbnail panels fading slightly when the user is not interacting with them to keep the focus on the work.

As minimal as can be on first arrival... no need for anything else, as the work is so nice. We used some Flash effects to give the impression of the work being on canvases.
Navigation #1
The navigation on the left expands to show the thumbnails for each gallery, allowing single-click access to any piece of work.
Navigation #2
Clicking another section simply unravels to show the thumbnails for that gallery. Feels nice.
